Thunder

Hello. This is Thunder, a 2 year old female domestic medium hair cat. Thunder is love bug. She is also a trained house cat. Thunder came to the shelter because her previous owners were moving. When I met Thunder, she was shy at first and gave me some high pitched mews!

Although shy at first, Thunder and I made an instant connection when I began to scratch her behind the ears. She did not mind when I picked her up and took her to a bonding room. I held her for a while and then set her down. Being in a new place she enjoyed being under the chair for a few minutes and then started to explore. Thunder is the mixture of many cats. She has Himalayan type fur and a bit of orange cat in the lower right corner of her face. 

After exploring a while, I picked Thunder up and set her on my lap. She immediately sat down and put her head on my knee. She liked curling up in my lap and resting, and stayed there for about 20 minutes. She would get up and fuss a little-which seemed to be an indication that she has been attention starved. And in a way she has. Going from a comfortable home to the shelter would surprise any cat. With the way she warmed up to me and sat on my lap, it would be a fair assessment to say she would warm up nicely to a new home. Thunder is currently at the Eastside shelter with ID# A1641114.
