Charles

Hi! This is Charles, a medium black cat. He is an eight month old kitten with lots of energy. I visited with Charles the other day, taking him out of his cage for a little exercise and socialization. He jogged around the bonding room a little sniffing the area and exploring as most cats do.

He enjoyed playing on the cat tower which also had a scratching post. He scratched some. He would jump and attack the leopard parts of the tower. He still has a lot of kitten energy enjoyed playing with the toys we offered him. He would probably enjoy a good space to romp and explore and a good scratching post.

As with most Tomcats though, the older he get the more he will mellow out. They tend to sleep more in their later years. Charles is currently at Lucky Paws in the Coronado Mall. His ID# is A1634055. If you would like to come and visit him, bring the ID# so that the staff help you easily find where he is. We hope you will consider giving Charles a home. Gordon

Hello! Let me introduce to you Gordon, a five year old pit bull mix dog. He is one of the many dogs currently living and waiting for adoption at Albuquerque Animal Welfare's (AWD) Eastside Shelter. Gordon is a big dog with a lot of fun and energy all wrapped up inside of him.

Gordon likes people and other dogs. If he sees another dog, he gladly goes up to meet the dog and hopefully to play. Karen, a volunteer at the shelter, has been working with Gordon for some time now, keeping him healthy and exercised. Gordon is good with children. He is also very neat and tidy keeping his kennel very clean, which means he is house trained.

Based on lots of observation by many volunteers while working with Gordon, Gordon is what you would  call a lap dog-even a nanny dog. He is not aggressive. Because he is a pit mix, he is high energy and needs exercise and a good place to run. These are qualities of a pit bull. The breed is not recognized by the American Kennel Club because pit bulls are more of a mix of several breeds.

Gordon is available for adoption with A number A1597840. He is at the Eastside shelter on Lomas between Eubank and Wyoming.

If you are looking for a decent family dog, come see Gordon at the shelter. If you have other dogs, feel free to  bring them for a meet and greet with Gordon. He would love to go home with you.
